My son made me this beautiful rose and heart for Valentines Day. He wrote the message himself, "Happy Valentines Day I Love You".

Across the road from our apartment is a small gate leading to a narrow path and lots of steps down to a small rocky beach. Today we took friends there for the first time and had fun exploring caves, climbing rocks, collecting treasure, and throwing stones into the sea.

The kids used to enjoy blowing the seeds off dandelions and watching the little white fluffy bits get carried away by the wind. We haven't come across any in Hong Kong but today our son picked up this pink spiked flower...

The Museum of Coastal Defence is on the site of the old Lei Yue Mun Fort up on headland overlooking the eastern entrance to Victoria Harbour. There are a number of tunnels dug into the hillside under the fort over the past 100 years and the children love exploring them, there is always something new to discover!

Fun with the sun.

We visited The Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence today and the children enjoyed running around the grounds and discovering ruined buildings, hidden passageways and reconstructed cannons... Here they are investigating bullet holes from World Ward 2 in the walls of the staff quarters.

We went to see the new Grand Aquarium at Ocean Park today. The children loved running around, looking through all the different windows, and spotting the different creatures swimming past.

The children enjoyed dressing up for their Chinese New Year party at pre-school today.

We found a great place to run about outside The Hong Kong Museum of Art this afternoon.

Learning about elliptical orbits (or was it the gravity of black holes...) at The Hong Kong Space Museum today.

We are often stopped and asked by strangers in the street if they can take a photograph with the children. Today it was this Mum and her twins who were so cute I thought I'd snap a pic of my own!

We stopped here for a much needed snack break on our travels around Tsim Sha Tsui this afternoon!

Our son enjoyed working on his Chinese New Year project with his class at pre-school today.

Chocolate spread on toast for breakfast this morning...

The simple games are often the best.

We had fun making banana cakes this afternoon to take into pre-school for snack-n-story time tomorrow.

Tucking in to his new favorite food...

My little girl's first trip on the school bus.

The children finding light in the underground tunnels at The Museum of Coastal Defence.

We enjoyed spending Christmas with family in the UK
